A dog comes into the life of two decrepit bums, one a former stage performer and the other a boxer, and brings a spark of enthusiasm and a purpose, though simple, to their meager existences. Complications arise when the dog is whisked off to the pound and the two men must figure out a way
to raise the money needed to retrieve it. Slight plot is handled in an effectively cute manner.
