Fonda and pal Roarke extort $150,000 from store manager McDowall and use it to buy a top-line race car. Laying rubber on highways across California, they are chased by smokeys and bears in the air, picking up the whorish George on the way. A flurry of vehicular choreography draws praise for the stunt team. There is practically no plot, and even less character development, but the script is based on a novel, most likely a thin one. leave a comment
