Diamond Head: Review

Heston is a vicious, bigoted pineapple baron who goes nuts when his kid sister, Mimieux, announces her engagement to a full-blooded native, Darren (who looks about as Hawaiian as Heston), even though he himself is carrying on an affair with a native girl. Seeking to keep the family blood line pure, Heston "accidentally" kills Darren, but trouble arises when Mimieux takes up with her dead fiance's halfbrother Chakiris (another lousy excuse for a real Hawaiian). Things get even stickier (and more ludicrous) when Heston's mistress dies while giving birth to a son, the heir apparent to the pineapple empire. Mimieux and Chakiris run off with the baby before Heston can dispose of it, leaving Heston to brood about his problems with race relations. He decides he's been a real jerk and welcomes everybody back into the family with open arms. Just plain awful. leave a comment
