Set in South Africa during the diamond rush of the 1870s, DIAMOND CITY details the rivalry between two factions of miners. The good guys, led by Farrar, strive for law-and-order among the miners. The bad guys, led by MacGinnis, care nothing about fairness or law, settling disputes with violence and deceit instead. MacGinnis also makes money on the side by selling liquor to the natives. The law-and-order approach proves more successful. leave a comment
