Gallis leaves his wife and family for his mistress but eventually comes back in this tedious, though ideologically correct, drama. The performances are quite good and give this film whatever attraction it has, but the direction is unbelievably slack, with some scenes thrown in seemingly just because the director wanted to show a crowd moving through the streets. leave a comment
