Struggling composer Jurgens marries Palmer but finds her insanely jealous. Driven into the arms of his secretary (Markus) by his wife's suspicions, he is contemptuous when she fakes a suicide attempt. When she tries again and succeeds, he is faced with murder charges and must prove his
