The Devil Commands

1941, Movie, NR, 65 mins

starstarstarstar
Karloff is obsessed with the idea of communicating with his late wife, so he rigs up corpses in robot suits connected electrically to a live medium (Revere). When the experiment kills Revere, Karloff straps Duff, his daughter, into the chair. One of Karloff's weirdest films, it is interesting if not entirely successful. Duff's narration in spots throughout the film, explaining the action, is a serious weak point. leave a comment
