The Devil At 4 O'Clock

Sinatra, Aslan, and Hamilton are three manacled convicts on their way to jail in Tahiti. Their small plane stops for the night on a French South Seas island known as Kalua. The island's volcano is making gurgling sounds and the governor, Scourby, realizes that it may erupt. Also aboard the plane is the young priest, Matthews, who is going to take the place of Tracy, a cleric who has lost his faith in God and found new hope in bottles of hooch. Aumont is the bush pilot who is ferrying the criminals and will take Tracy away with him on the morrow.
