This trilogy of stories is wholly incohesive. The first stars Fairbanks as a wealthy American aboard the "Orient Express" who is set upon by a clan of sharpies but saved by the intervention of a train guard. In the second tale, the daughter of an Irish ne'er-do-well is forbidden to marry
the son of a Scottish miser until the skinflint is faced with tax evasion charges and the Irishman helps him out of the difficulty. In the last episode, a Norwegian artist murders his brother but is exposed by his wife, who was the dead man's mistress.
