It's not quite Hurley's lottery winnings, but it's a start. ABC is offering all of Lost's original cast members a substantial salary bump, in exchange for adding a year to each actor's contract. The preemptive proposal would up each actor's per-episode take to about $80,000 (up from a range of $20,000 to $40,000), putting them on par with the Desperate housewives. Also included in the deal is a monthly bail stipend.

Is Soap Talk cohost Ty Treadway — who played troubled twins Colin and Troy MacIver on One Life to Live — actively courting The Bold and the Beautiful for a part? Well, yes and no. Reports published elsewhere have suggested that he's aggressively campaigning to be on Brad Bell's serial about L.A. fashionistas. Now Ty wants to clarify things a bit.
"Let me tell you exactly what that was about," Treadway says. "My cohost Lisa Rinna and I were on location in Hawaii doing interviews with reporters to promote Soap Talk's Season 4 launch. Eva Longoria probably isn't feeling too Desperate this morning. The perpetual award-show bridesmaid scored a long-overdue Golden Globe nod on Tuesday morning, joining cast mates Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross in the lead actress (comedy) race. Still, Eva's probably not the happiest of the Housewives today. That award goes to Huffman, doubly nominated for the sudser and her gender-bending turn in Transamerica. Answer: A Desperate rep cites timing issues. Apparently, the episodes have been running long and something had to go. I don't know about you guys, but I'd be OK losing a few Susan scenes if it meant getting the opening back.

As previously reported, Nicollette Sheridan won't appear alongside her old cast mates in Knots Landing Reunion: Together Again on CBS this fall. However, it turns out the Desperate diva has deigned to somehow include herself in the nostalgic proceedings. "She was unavailable for the initial taping due to her Desperate Housewives schedule," producer Michael Levitt told reporters Monday at the Television Critics Association press tour in Los Angeles. "But it was important enough to her to call and say, 'How can I still be a part of this?'
