Intermittently suspenseful and genuinely unsettling, DESPERATE MOTIVE is an exercise in sadistic enterprise that will leave you cancelling your plans for upcoming family reunions. With a more scrupulous avoidance of improbabilities this might have been a bone-chilling classic instead of
