Columbia studios' first Technicolor feature stars Scott as the sheriff of a Utah town in the 1860s. Ford, an outlaw and old friend of the sheriff, rides into town to visit and soon the local bank is robbed. Though Ford has been talked into turning over a new leaf by Keyes and has made a
good effort to go straight, the finger of guilt points to him, and, though innocent, he is convicted of the crime. Scott helps him escape and together they bring the true culprits to justice. Well-made, fast-paced, with a good cast of performers.
