Set in the near future, DEMONSTRATOR details the events surrounding a meeting among Asian nations for ratification of a military alliance to ensure mutual protection. James, the Minister for Defense, leads the discussion, but his well-intentioned efforts are frustrated by his own son, Maguire, who organizes a protest, because he opposes militarism in any form. The film separates the characters along generational lines, but never reveals what effect the protests have on the final outcome of the conference.
