Far from being a revisionist take on the form, this is a classic road movie, an exercise in self-discovery that unfolds against a backdrop of America's endless highways. Jim Meltzer stars as a Silicon Valley exec who embezzles a quarter of a million dollars and takes off for Reno, but makes two big mistakes: He takes the Death Valley route, then picks up two good-looking hitchhikers (Jennifer Rubin and Kyle Secor).
