Like the MAD MAX films, DEF-CON 4 takes a dark approach to a nuclear devastated society, as man is reduced to primitive survival instincts. Tim Choate, Kate Lynch, and John Walsch are three astronauts orbiting above Earth in a secret spaceship. Their television monitor suddenly goes blank, and the astronauts see great flashes of light emanating from Earth.
