Carradine and Jennings are "ranger guides" who ride horses through a postnuclear desert and fight off motorcycle-riding "statesmen" out to capture them for gladiatorial contests and cannibal mutants looking for a good dinner. The film starts in midbattle and scarcely slows up--a good
thing, too, because the few slack spots are heavy-handed mystical interludes without a trace of humor. Jennings, Playboy's
Playmate of the Year for 1969, was killed in car crash soon after this film was released.
