This idiotic ripoff of THE RUNNING MAN features John McCafferty as Chuck Toedan, the host of the wildly controversial gameshow "Live or Die," in which death-row inmate contestants perform silly and dangerous stunts for reprieves or prizes for their families. The audiences applaud furiously
when contestants are guillotined on the air, then examined to determine if a face-up roll of the head qualifies the victim's family for a set of major kitchen appliances. Aggressively, annoyingly stupid, the film looks like something out of another time, the days of THE GROOVE TUBE, KENTUCKY FRIED
MOVIE, and the like.
