This cute wartime comedy features Holden as a soldier on a two-day leave who travels to a small town to meet his pen-pal sweetheart who has been writing him for two years. In fact the girl, Caulfield, knows nothing of the soldier because her younger sister has been sending the letters,
using her older sibling's name and picture. Caulfield is engaged to marry the local banker but, not wanting to disappoint the soldier, she decides to try to juggle the men for Holden's two-day stay. Of course, Caulfield falls in love with Holden, complicating her life. Good fun, with a standout
performance by Arnold as the girl's father. Two equally entertaining sequels followed, DEA...
