Tricky sequel that brings back one of the first film's protagonists, L.A. homicide detective Sam Dietz (Leo Rossi). This time out, Dietz tracks another serial killer, and encounters difficulty from a FBI agent, Kyle Valsone (Ray Sharkey), who's also been assigned to the case.
