The Day The World Ended

Roger Corman's first sci-fi film launched American International to exploitation success. Brought in at a cost of $65,000, the movie concerned itself with the aftermath of T.D. Day (Total Destruction), the day of a complete nuclear holocaust. Seven survivors--Birch, his daughter Nelson, geologist Denning, gangster Connors and his moll, Jergens, scientist Hatton, and terminal radiation case Dubov--form an uneasy alliance as they make their way to a mountain retreat.
