Girdler, who aped THE EXORCIST (1973) with ABBY (1974) and JAWS (1975) with GRIZZLY (1976), turns his attention to Hitchcock's classic THE BIRDS (1963) in this laughable film. Here the animals of the world are attacking people in response to humankind's aerosol-can destruction of the ozone
layer. Bad casting (Roman and Jaeckel as scientists?) and inept special effects combine to produce more than a few unintentional laughs for those masochists willing to sit through this. See the similar FROGS (1972).
