This was the second time Disney cut together a couple of the popular "Davy Crockett" television adventures and released them in the theaters after they had already appeared on free TV. The result is a two-part kiddie show starring Parker and his sidekick, Ebsen, as they put the villainous river-rat York in his place by beating him in a river race to New Orleans. The second segment has the intrepid backwoods duo, with the help of their new ally York, battling a gang of pirates that has been pulling raids disguised as Indians. Songs: "Ballad of Davy Crockett," "King of the River," and "Yaller, Yaller Gold" (George Bruns, Tom Blackburn). leave a comment
