Durbin is the daughter of a famous actress, Francis, and she would like to follow in her mother's footsteps. Durbin attends a summer-stock school while her mother is in Honolulu. She's picked for the lead in the fall show, a role originally assigned to her mother. Durbin goes to Hawaii to be coached by her mother. She meets millionaire Pidgeon and begins chasing him.
