Although director Gerry Lively initially opens up this adaptation of a stage play, the film soon degenerates into a talky character study with nothing new to say. Wheeler-dealer Martin Driscoll (Tim Dutton) has good reason to be jumpy. Creditors with whom he did a business deal are sniffing around for a ten million-dollar payback. Fortunately, a wealthy old pal is supping at the Driscoll mansion that evening.
