A gory private-eye film that is overlong and confusing. Taylor plays the gumshoe, with Bikel as his sidekick. The two rescue Kendall from drowning at the hands of psychotic sadists Smith and Phillips, her former partners in a shakedown racket. Later Kendall is killed by the two crooks.
Taylor uses Kendall, playing a dual-role look-alike for her dead character, as bait to trap Smith and Phillips. The story is of little importance in this film, as the extreme violence seems to be the main interest.
