Thus begins Dark Streets, and that line, spoken in a bluesy rasp by Prince (Toledo), the film's narrator, and the dark slow-motion imagery that accompanies it, sets the tone for Dark Streets, director Rachel Samuels' hyper-stylized musical-noir pastiche.
