A children's film set in a postnuclear-holocaust age when most adults have died out and the young are left in control. Macfarquhar is a farm boy who searches for answers to his questions about the past. By the finale his worst nightmares are realized as he discovers the truth. A surprisingly depressing film that informs children that the world isn't all sugarplum fairies and wooden soldiers . . . but is that really necessary? leave a comment
