Dark Delusion

This is the 15th film in which Barrymore portrayed Dr. Gillespie, who had taken over the main character responsibilities from Dr. Kildare. The series retains most of the same cast, minus Lew Ayres, who played Kildare many times. In this film Craig is Barrymore's foil. The young doctor is farmed out from the hospital to take over a rich private practice temporarily. While there, he is called on to cosign an order sending Bremer to an insane asylum. Craig pleads with her rich father to give the girl another chance, but when she has a fit of psychosis, the father says no.
