This exciting, hard-edged film noir was Charlton Heston's first film after being signed to a Paramount contract, and whatever his limitations as an actor, he's perfectly cast. Heston plays a tough con man who being hounded by a crazed vengeful psycho (the great character actor Paul Mazurki). Husky voiced Lizabeth Scott plays Heston's girl, a nightclub singer who croons "I'm in the Mood for Love" and "That Old Black Magic." Read the complete review for Dark City
