Scott is superb as a despicable cad who preys on women and doesn't have a decent bone in his lounge-lizard body. The film opens with Scott hastily departing a hotel room in the East, stealing money and a wedding ring from a dead woman. He appears in Los Angeles under an assumed name and proceeds to use Emerson and Freeman, two gullible sisters, to build a fortune. They eventually get wise to his scheming, but don't have what it takes to even the score with the scoundrel. But the husband of the woman Scott left for dead at the film's opening is on his trail and anxious for revenge. The script of DANGER SIGNAL is weak and Flory's direction is merely average. It's Scott's incredibly hateful performance, almost equaling his role in THE MASK OF DIMITRIOS, that makes this one a little gem. leave a comment
