Set in a taxi dance hall, this story has bandleader Oakie trying to save a young pal from the clutches of one of the dancers he thinks is a shady lady, Hopkins. Oakie dates Hopkins when his pal is lured away, falls in love with her himself, then becomes the target of gangster George Raft, who also loves the girl.
