Shipping clerk Lake tries to dance his way into taxi dancer Borden's heart. She, however, has eyes for aviator Emerson. Emerson crashes in a cross-country record attempt, and Borden goes into a swoon. Lake takes her to his place to take care of her, and hides the fact that Emerson has recovered and is living with another woman. Borden discovers this piece of news and blows up at Lake. She goes to Emerson, who proves to be a rat and throws her aside. She returns to Lake, and the two dance off into the sunset. The film's sequences of a "taxi dance" ballroom are especially noteworthy. leave a comment
