A poor adaptation of Roger Zelazny's postnuclear holocaust novel of the same name, the film has Peppard, Vincent, and Winfield as the only survivors of an underground military complex blast after the holocaust. They set out across the country in two tanklike landmobiles to get to Albany, New York, which for some unexplained reason is the only place not destroyed by the bombs and which has normal people still alive there.
