A group of strangers are thrown together in a struggle for survival when they are attacked by Indians. In the group are Robertson, a bank robber, Darnell, a loose lady of the West; Lund, a bank clerk (all fleeing the law for a crime Robertson committed); Bond, a loudmouthed politician; Toomey, a drunken minstrel man; and Bissell, the easterner who thinks he's found gold.
