The setting is Earth in the year 2087, when the world is controlled by Cyborgs, a race of humans whose minds are surgically altered to prevent free thought. Rennie plays Cyborg Garth, a rebellious member who steals a time machine and returns to the year 1965. Here he meets the scientist who developed Cyborg technology and, in an attempt to change the future, tries to prevent any further advancements.
