The novel combination of mixing a mediocre western with a mediocre vampire picture produces a mediocre vampire western. Fleming, who became the star of TV's "Rawhide," is cast as a cattle-town preacher who takes it upon himself to defang the vampiric Pate. After a trough full of murders,
the gunslinging Dracula goes after Crowley, the woman rancher who originally hired Pate. Dismissing the messy notion of a wooden stake through the heart, Fleming shoots the bloodsucker with a cross-engaved bullet. As usual, the dying vampire shrivels into sunlit nothingness.
