Blake Edwards scrapes the bottom of the barrel in an attempt to make a final buck from the late Peter Sellers' Inspector Clouseau. Edwards' tastelessness reached a new low in creating this travesty: after David Niven's untimely death, Edwards had Rich Little dub in the actor's voice for
the remaining scenes. The film is primarily a collage of previous Panther outtakes, featuring many of the earlier Panther cast members as guest stars to pad the boring adventures of the new bumbling detective, Clifton Sleigh (Ted Wass). An aesthetically contemptible, crassly commercial work.
