A strong Temple showcase, as much in its way as a Mae West film. Turn down the sound and you'll see a fullblown persona and CURLY TOP provides a nifty argument for the idea of the actor as auteur. The plot? Moppet plays matchmaker, what else? Shirley and big sis Rochelle Hudson are discovered in an orphanage by millionaire John Boles. He shows them Park Avenue and the life of luxury and, naturally, falls for the post-pubescent sis. Shirley doesn't forget where she came from, though, and returns to the orphanage to sing a few ditties with her moppet friends.
