Metropolitan Opera star Tibbett is cast in this ditty-filled tale centered around the then-popular tune "The Peanut Vendor." Tibbett joins the Marines and leaves his deb girl behind in the States. He and pal Durante are sent to Cuba where they meet the vivacious Velez, a peanut vendor. The
hungry Tibbett has a time with the senorita, but returns to his gal when the war ends. Time goes by and Tibbett's mind wanders towards Velez. By chance, he meets up with the Schnozzola and the duo take off in search of the vendor. They soon learn that she died, leaving a small remembrance
behind--a son. Being a good father and lousy husband he returns to the States with the babe ...
