Screwball comedy has Hutton taking the rap for a murder she did not commit in order to showcase the talents of her fiance, lawyer Tufts, in defending her. Even wacky Hutton's antics can't take the minds of the audience off the criminal job the scriptwriters pulled in calling this remake of TRUE CONFESSION "entertainment." Songs: "Love Is the Darndest Thing," "That Little Dream Got Nowhere," "How Do You Do It?" "Does Baby Feel Alright?" "It Hasn't Been Chilly in Chile" (Johnny Burke, Jimmy Van Heusen), and "Cross My Heart" (Robert Emmett Dolan, Larry Neill). leave a comment
