A variation of John Ford's THE SEARCHERS in which crusty old trapper Boone and young, determined Petersen set out to find Blanch, Petersen's attractive sister who has been captured (of course) by evil, mindless Indians. It is a shame to see an actor like Boone, who can be very powerful when given the chance, stuck in a mediocre western that does not explore the genre's immense and varied complexities. leave a comment
