Wilma (Virna Lisi), an aging showgirl-whore, becomes friends with a La Cicada (Clio Goldsmith, the "gift" of 1982's THE GIFT), a pretty, free-spirited young woman who would die before she would sleep with someone for money. They take to the road and eventually meet up with Hannibal (Anthony Franciosa), a former salesman whose nickname is Ulysses has dreams of opening a truck stop/banquet hall/hotel/gas station.
