A late entry in the West German

David Emerson (Klaus Kinski) is convicted of murdering the family gardener and, thanks to the testimony of Dr. Mangrove (Karl Lange), is remanded to an asylum rather than prison. But he but steadfastly maintains his innocence. After a nurse is brutally murdered, someone helpfully slips David the key to his cell and tosses a rope ladder over the wall; David escapes and makes his way back to the family cast...
