This film has Gorcey and some other former Dead End Kids, now called the Bowery Boys, given a racehorse in payment for a food bill. The gang members think they can make money off the horse, and comedy occurs as they try to take care of the animal. Trouble crops up when racketeers try to
steal the mount, but the gang keeps the horse in the running. Hall ends up riding it in the big race, winning despite himself, and the gang catches the crooks to boot.
