A mediocre take-off on THE BEAST WITH FIVE FINGERS, this film begins with a spacecraft exploding as it returns to Earth's atmosphere. The astronaut is blown to pieces in the crash, but his hand survives. Breck and Taylor play scientists trying to find the spacecraft wreckage, while Lauren, playing a young medical student,reaches the crash site first. He discovers the hand and takes it home, not realising that it is infected with an alien force. The hand kills his landlady, and then starts to exert influence over Lauren himself. It makes him want to kill(the makeup darkens under his eyes). In the end, a cat eats the hand and Lauren becomes himself again. leave a comment
