This grandfather to the AIRPORT pictures stars the future Nancy Reagan, Davis, as the wife of the pilot whose plane is doomed. The story is concerned with the passengers of the plane and the changes they go through when they discover the plane is going to crash in the Atlantic. As in the AIRPORT films, the passengers are made up of a random assortment of people: a retired businessman, a pretty schoolteacher, a rugged, self-made business tycoon and his drunken associate, an elderly Portuguese grandmother on her first flight, priests, chorus girls, and many more. None die, however, as the plane ditches near a US destroyer. The cliches in this film are uproarious, probably making this the former First Lady's funniest film. leave a comment
