This variation on the boxing film formula deals with a crooked manager (James Millican) who stages the fake ring death of a sparring partner when his fighter, Jimmy Weston (Scott Brady), refuses to take a dive. Jimmy, a WW II navy veteran, killed a man while boxing in the service, and this
new "death" takes a heavy toll on his performance in the ring. Ah, but lucky Jimmy has his faithful girl friend in his corner, and she goes in search of the supposedly dead sparring partner, returning with him just in the nick of time.
