In a spoof of the music business, matchmaker McDowall joins pop singer Watson on her way up and Peterson on his way down in a romantic linkup for a publicity stunt. Few surprises arise as the action carries the two to stardom as a team. This is a light, competently handled no-brainer. Songs: "The Cool Ones," "A Bad Woman's Love," "Whiz Bam Opener," "This Town," "High," "Up Your Totem Pole with Love," "Tantrum," "It's Your World," "Hands," "Baby, Baby, Your Love Is All I Need" (Lee Hazlewood), "Where Did I Go Wrong?" (Billy Strange, Jack Lloyd), and "It's Magic" (Sammy Cahn, Jule Styne). leave a comment
