Conquered City

While the Germans pull out of Athens in the closing days of WW II, various factions fight for control of the city. Niven is a British officer who finds himself commanding the defense of a hotel in which arms desperately needed by the rebel forces are stored. With the help of American officer Gazzara, the hotel troops withstand a number of attacks, but Gazzara is captured and tortured. Niven discovers that a spy is staying in the hotel, figures out that Craig is the traitor, and shoots it out with him. Niven wins the duel, and while evacuating the hotel under a flag of truce, blows up the arms hidden there. An interesting war programmer.
