A Connecticut Yankee

Will Rogers's fabled charm was well utilized in this excellent adaptation of the popular Mark Twain novel. Rogers, owner of a small-town radio shop, goes to install a battery in the old house of an eccentric character who thinks that he can contact King Arthur by radio. When Rogers is felled by an accidental blow on the head, he dreams his way back to days when knights were bold. The locals soon conclude that the mysterious stranger is a warlock. His only hope of saving himself is to exploit his unique knowledge of the future. Rogers's co-stars provide able support to the satirical proceedings.
